THE
CONVECTIONATOR
3000
This dessert revealing machine was the central focus of the show.
Three hydraulic lifts automate the side panels which are choreographed to dissipate the low-lying nitrogen fog which reveals the desserts as they are lifted into view. Over the course of the show this effect was shot more than 300 times.
16' LIGHT CUBE
This was a challenging undertaking - the 12 legs that make up the frame of this cube were each made with 4 individually controlled sides. That is (48) 16’ x 6” controllable light boxes with an internal sleeving steel frame. All the cabling had to be hidden within the clear structure so that it couldn’t be seen.
THE CHALLENGE of
TIGHT TIME FRAMES
The hardest part of this job was the limited time to build. We produced 7 industrial kitchens in 3 weeks during a pandemic. We had to bring in a lot of additional crew. The dedication of our team to our stringent COVID protocols and repeated testing allowed us to build while remaining safe.
